Beware. Update to cancellation policy for activities
Following the Covid Pandemic (I guess as a means to be ultra flexible to holiday makers that may have symptoms or delays elsewhere when getting around the village) Center Parcs changed their cancellation policy for activities. It was awesome, they allowed you to cancel the activity literally up to the point the activity started.

However on 24th June this year Center Parcs posted an update to their  Cancellation Policy

There is a change to our cancellation policy which will come into effect for guests who are on village from 9th September 2024 onwards. From the 9th September 2024 you can cancel activity, restaurant and spa bookings up to 12 hours before the start time to receive a full refund. If you cancel within 12 hours of the start time, a 50% cancellation charge will apply

While not the end of the world we're losing a bit of flexibility.

Before your break have a good think and plan out your days considering:

  • Eating - when and where are you eating?
  • Activities - space them out, remember you might need to travel across the village ie at Whinfell the Sports Plaza is around 20 minute walk from the Activity Den.
  • Swimming - the swimming is a non-bookable activity, you don't need to book it but consider changing time when squeezing it into your day
  • Naps/Rest - you're on holiday after all. Make time to rest and recover between activities and leave space for the little ones you sleep

With any of the above things remember they can run over. "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry." so leave a gap between the things you're doing, don't go end to end.
